Carilion Clinic is seeking a hospital-based Consult Liaison Psychiatrist to join their team at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center in Christiansburg, VA. This role offers the opportunity to provide expert psychiatric care and clinical teaching to residents and medical students. The position includes options for telemedicine from home and limited weekend call responsibilities, within a collaborative and interdisciplinary Integrated Healthcare Delivery System.

- Hospital-based Consultation-Liaison service spanning all seven Carilion hospitals, including rural and critical access hospitals by leveraging telemedicine
- Team supported by dedicated mental health care coordinators and a 24/7 call center
- Carilion New River Valley Medical Center has 110 medical-surgical beds and 32 dedicated to inpatient psychiatry
- Hospital campus includes an office based opioid treatment clinic (OBOT) and multidisciplinary outpatient psychiatry clinic
- Separate dedicated Emergency Psychiatry service throughout the system
- Opportunities to participate in integrated care, collaborative care, and quality improvement
Responsibilities
- Provide expert psychiatric care

Compensation
- Salary Range is $286,875 - $450,000
- Eligible to participate in the Tier 1 and Tier 2 bonus compensation programs to improve the minimum salary
- Historical averages of Tier 1 and Tier 2 bonus earnings are included in the maximum salary

Requirements
- Fellowship-trained in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry, or have completed training in Internal Medicine-Psychiatry, or Family Practice-Psychiatry, or similar
- Two or more years of substantial experience in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry is also acceptable
- J-1 visa sponsorship available
