Sanford Health is seeking a BC/BE Adult Psychiatrist to join its multi-specialty group practice in Fargo, North Dakota. This full-time position offers the opportunity to provide both outpatient and inpatient psychiatry services, including consult liaison services within a Level I Trauma and tertiary care hospital. The role also involves teaching psychiatry residents and medical students through Sanford's affiliation with the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Services.

- Robust behavioral health team includes 20 Psychiatrists, Psychiatry Residents, 18 Psychologists, 8 Psych NPs and 21 Therapists
- Provide consult liaison services within a 316-bed Level I Trauma and tertiary care hospital
- 20-bed adult in-patient behavioral health unit
- Continuum of care from in-patient hospitalization, partial hospitalization program, to out-patient individual and group therapy including eating disorders at the Eating Disorders Institute
Responsibilities
- Provide consult liaison services within our 316-bed Level I Trauma and tertiary care hospital
- Perform ECT procedures
- Practice out-patient and in-patient psychiatry
- Teach psychiatry residents and medical students through Sanford's affiliation with University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Services
- Perform history and physical examination
- Admit, evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients above the age of 12 who suffer from mental, behavioral, addictive, or emotional disorders

Requirements
- BC/BE Adult Psychiatrist
- CL Fellowship preferred
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Successful completion of a hospital affiliated Psychiatry residency program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada
- Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable
- If not board certified at time of application but completed residency within last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from completion date
