Job Title
This position is a great entry-level position working in the City's water treatment plant. Duties include general maintenance of treatment facilities and equipment including basic carpentry, painting, plumbing, mechanical and electrical repair work. On-the-job training is available, and the position provides opportunities for advancement.
What You'll Do
- Diagnose equipment problems and determine proper remedial action.
- Inspect, lubricate, dismantle, repair, and maintain a wide variety of pumps, motors, air compressors, piping and related utility plant equipment.
- Performs general building maintenance and repair work.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance activities.

Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Technical school training in machine shop or related areas and completion of basic maintenance courses for water plant operation is preferred.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Kansas driver's license and meet the City's insurability guidelines. Please review the Insurability Guidelines.
Entry rate of pay: $21.81 per hour.
