The company is committed to providing fast, high-quality service while maintaining professionalism, safety, and customer care during challenging situations.Position OverviewOur client is seeking dependable and motivated Water Technicians to support emergency mitigation and restoration projects throughout Michigan on an as-needed basis. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in water damage restoration, demolition, structural drying, and emergency response who are looking for flexible, hourly project-based work opportunities.The Water Technician will respond to residential and commercial property losses caused by water, storm, sewage, mold, and related damages.

Candidates must be comfortable working in fast-paced environments, responding to emergency calls, and assisting with mitigation and restoration efforts to return properties to pre-loss condition.Employment TypeAs-Needed / On-CallHourly PositionPotential for overtime and emergency response hoursKey ResponsibilitiesPerform emergency water extraction and mitigation servicesSet up and monitor drying equipment including air movers and dehumidifiersConduct demolition of damaged materials including drywall, flooring, insulation, and cabinetryTake moisture readings and document affected areasAssist with mold remediation and containment procedures when necessaryClean, sanitize, and deodorize affected structures and contentsMaintain proper documentation, photos, and job notesFollow all company safety procedures and industry standardsCommunicate professionally with homeowners, property managers, insurance representatives, and team membersParticipate in after-hours and emergency response work as neededQualificationsPrevious experience in water mitigation, restoration, construction, or demolition preferredIICRC certifications (WRT, ASD, AMRT, etc.) preferred but not requiredKnowledge of drying equipment, moisture mapping, and restoration procedures preferredAbility to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding workComfortable working in confined spaces, varying temperatures, and emergency conditionsValid driver's license with reliable transportation preferredAbility to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and emergency call-outsStrong work ethic, reliability, and teamwork skillsPreferred SkillsExperience with residential and commercial mitigation projectsFamiliarity with restoration software and documentation practicesBasic understanding of insurance restoration processesAbility to operate restoration and demolition equipment safelyCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive hourly pay based on experienceOvertime opportunities availableFlexible, as-needed schedulingOpportunity for long-term growth within the restoration industryTraining and certification support may be available for qualified candidates
