Warehouse Associate PositionHamilton Connections is seeking candidates for a warehouse associate position at a company in Danbury CT. This is a temp-to-hire job. The hours are 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m., Monday-Friday.
The salary is $20-$22 an hour.Job Responsibilities:Print picking sheets and review orders for key shipping instructionsPick inventory and ship orders to customers to meet a minimum goal of 175 shipments per dayVerify accuracy of items picked and pack items into boxes, using spacers and protective paddingExamine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specificationsWeigh shipping boxes, select freight method, affixing shipping labels on packed cartonsAssemble packing boxes and materials in preparation for shipmentRestock inventory on shelvesAssist with product deliveries to the warehouse; validate receipt quantities with expected quantitiesCalculate freight quotes by determining the method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and ratesPrepare pallet shipments for tradeshows or customer demonstrationsParticipate in product cycle counting. Enter and verify quantities in the warehouseAssist with assemblies and returns as directed by manager and warehouse level III personnelMaintain a safe and clean work environmentAssist with the removal of trash and materials to be shredded from the officesMaintain quality service by following organization standardsOther tasks as requested by managementJob Requirements:Warehouse experience, including shipping and receiving, and picking and packing ordersExperience using shipping softwareComputer skillsAble to work in a fast-paced environmentSpeak, read and write EnglishAble to handle physical aspects of job, including transporting products up to 50 lbs., lifting or otherwise transporting products up to 8 cubic feet, standing at shipping computer or in general for extended periodsAble to pass pre-employment screenings
