Oversight for assigned patient care areas or initiatives and collaborates with executive leadership to ensure alignment with the organization’s mission and vision.RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop long-range strategic and operational plans to ensure that assigned area objectives are being achievedEnsure integration of resources and needs within assigned services and other areas of HHSEnsure the measurement, assessment and continuous improvement of all staff productivity, quality, and financial performanceCollaboratively establish key performance and success indicators in the areas of clinical, functional and financial outcomes, patient and staff satisfaction, employee engagement and measure performance against those indicatorsEnsure clinical practice and patient care meet national and local standards, are based on recognized best practices, and reflect evidence-based practiceOversee management of business processes and promote efficiency within assigned areas and by determining the right level, skill mix and number of employees, and ensure workforce is trained to competently perform the work requiredSelect, develop, evaluate and mentor directors and managers assigned. Direct the work of assigned services leadership in the establishment of priorities, policies, procedures, resource allocation and service deliveryForge a collaborative relationship with medical staff to continually provide best possible care and services consistent with strategic plans, patient safety expectations, and customer service expectationsChampion an interdisciplinary approach to leadership across functions in partnership with other leaders, physician leaders and other organizational leaders/stakeholders.
Work with other members of the leadership team to ensure that patient care is provided in an integrated mannerResponsible for the preparation, review, and management of all ambulatory services and assigned operational department budgets to meet or exceed budgetary expectationsEstablish and maintain systems to ensure compliance with all regulatory standardsEffect compliance with applicable laws, regulations and accreditation standards and promote a culture of complianceThrough a collaborative approach, provide direction to Population Health on strategy/operation integrationLead and participate in special projects in support of organizational goalsQualificationsQUALIFICATIONSMinimum Qualifications:Master’s degree in Nursing or a related healthcare fieldFive years of related leadership experience within a healthcare organization including director or executive level experience managing perioperative, procedural, and/or radiology functionsCertification/License Required: RN licensure Specialty certification in nursing required upon hire or within one year of employmentPreferred Qualifications:Doctor of Nursing Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:Proven, successful, progressively responsible leadership, management and execution experienceStrategic thinking, leadership and strong relationship managementExhibits a strong presence of commandExceptional verbal, written and presentation skillsStrong performance integrating strategic/tactical operating plansFlexibility to adapt to changes/challenges in organizational strategy, priorities, direction and overcome resistance to changeExcellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and negotiate with people at all levelsExcellent organizational, time management, prioritization and delivery skillsAbility to develop and implement cost reduction strategiesStrong analytical and PC skillsJob Level: ExecutiveEmployee Status: Regular
