Vice President of Operations | Michigan-Based Specialty Retailer | Detroit Metro
The Role
The VP of Operations will serve as the company's senior operational executive responsible for translating a bold growth vision into the infrastructure, processes, and people systems needed to execute it. This is a hands‑on leadership role with five direct reports and enterprise-wide accountability across warehouse operations, last‑mile delivery, inventory, technology integration, vendor partnerships, and new store launches.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of progressive operational leadership, with at least 5 years at the VP or senior level
- Demonstrated experience leading multi‑site retail or distribution operations
- Background in warehouse management, home delivery, last‑mile logistics, or supply chain
- Track record of driving continuous improvement and lean transformation
- Financial fluency and P&L accountability
- High EQ and the ability to lead, develop, and retain strong teams
- Located in or willing to relocate to the greater Detroit metro area
