Position Overview

Danbury Hospital – part of Nuvance Health – is hiring an employed per diem Pathologist to join our group of 24 board‑certified pathologists. The position is based at Danbury Hospital, covers autopsies at Norwalk Hospital and Vassar Brothers Medical Center, and offers a competitive hourly rate with eligibility for a 401k (no match). It is an employed W‑2 role with Nuvance Health Medical Practice.

Staff pathologist at a community hospital with a cancer program and wide range of clinical services, part of a comprehensive health system.

Job Requirements

• MD or DO and completion of AP/CP Residency training.
• Board certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology required.
• Subspecialty training and experience encouraged.
• Autopsy experience required.
• Excellent communication skills, proficiency in frozen sections, cytology interpretations (GYN & non‑GYN), rapid on‑site cytology assessments, and occasional autopsies.
• CT and NY State medical license or eligibility to obtain an unrestricted medical license.

Salary Range: $225/hr.
