A leading, employee-owned commercial general contractor is seeking a VDC Manager to lead virtual design and construction across complex building projects in Seattle.
This position will work closely with project executives, project managers, superintendents, design teams and trade partners to improve coordination, reduce project risk and support successful field execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project-level VDC strategy and execution.
- Develop and manage BIM Execution Plans.
- Oversee 3D construction coordination and clash detection.
- Coordinate architectural, structural and MEP systems.
- Work with project teams to identify constructability, schedule and cost risks.
- Establish VDC expectations for subcontractors and design partners.
- Represent VDC during owner, design and project meetings.
- Lead and mentor VDC Engineers and technical team members.
- Support preconstruction and project pursuit activities.
Requirements
- Six or more years of VDC, BIM or construction technology experience.
- Experience working for a commercial general contractor is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of 3D coordination, model management and BIM execution planning.
- Proficiency with Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD and related coordination tools.
- Understanding of commercial construction workflows and field operations.
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Degree in architecture, engineering, construction management or a related field preferred.
