Utility Professional - GIS Technician VLocation: Rockville, MDContract: 12+ Months (potential for temp-to-hire opportunity)The expectation is that candidate starts ON-SITE FROM DAY 1. MUST BE LOCAL to Bethesda, MD/Rockville, MD. 3 days On-Site and 2 days remote.
Will start on-site first 100% two weeks. Will be onsite Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.The GIS Technician will be responsible for assuming GIS/CAD/GWD and other responsibilities such as following GIS data maintenance specifications; publishing maps for viewing applications such as ArcFM and responsibilities for maintaining the quality and consistency of data within GIS/GWD; responsibility for the GIS symbology, connectivity and annotation rules; testing all GIS Related applications and tools.3 years of Design experience with ESRI ArcGIS Geographic Information System (GIS), ArcMap, ArcSchematics, knowledge related to the electric utility industry, design experience with MicroStation. MicroStation, SmallWorld (preferred)3-5+ years of Professional GIS expUtility Environment Exp preferred, but not required.
