Candidates will need to reside in or near market.About This Role:The Locator is responsible for the correct, safe and efficient identifying, locating and protecting of underground network facilities.
Locators work from a company vehicle utilizing a laptop and smartphone to ensure clear and complete network identification for the excavator or property owner.What You'll DoThoroughly search for underground utilities in an area, properly marking the location, fulfilling the necessary paperwork to complete the locateOperates locator system (sub-site and handheld) for installation of underground telecommunications cable conduit, including fiber optic cableEnsures safety of the public and other utilities underground facilitiesEnsures all applicable permits and locates are complete and on sitePerforms all duties according to prescribed safety procedures and uses appropriate safety equipmentWork outside in all types of weather conditions.
