Working at a startup gives you the chance to manifest your creativity and make a big difference in the final product.Required Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or equivalent)5-10 years of experience in electrical component/system design and troubleshootingExperience taking a part or assembly from concept through production, working with external suppliers, and managing deliverables for multiple projectsAutomotive (CAN bus, automotive Ethernet, A2B, and other automotive networks), aerospace, or safety critical industry experienceExperience with on-board digital serial interfaces such as SPI, UART, I2C, and I2SExperience with electrical and EMI/C testingPrior work experience at client or in client's industryPreferred Skills & QualificationsKnowledge of automotive functional safety (ISO26262) standardsFirmware / Software experience (managing/developing/testing) including functional knowledge of Python, C/C++, and other scripting languages.Experience with chassis and/or electromechanical systemsExperience with high speed bus protocols such as PCIe, Display Port, and HDMIExperience using Altium, 3DX, Catia V5/V6, or similar toolsDay-to-Day ResponsibilitiesInvestigate issues whenever and wherever they occur to resolve problems, drive design updates, and enable (Company) to scale.Specify electrical component and system requirements and lead engineering discussions and development with suppliers including drawing reviews, requirement validation, and change request documentation.Coordinate supplier tooling and production to meet critical vehicle milestones.Collaborate with mechanical, systems, firmware, and software engineering teams as well as system operators to iterate on existing designs and develop future solutions.Conduct root cause analysis during the development, validation, build, and deployment phases for issue resolution including detailed log reviews and component investigations.Support the development and execution of system and component-level validation test plans.Work with manufacturing and quality engineers to mature components and support vehicle build, bring-up, and test activities.
