Position Summary...

What you’ll do

  • Own delivery of scoped features and models through collaborative engineering teams, managing implementation, iteration, testing, and support.
  • Write clean, efficient, and reliable code across multiple languages, driving full software development lifecycle including CI/CD and automated testing.
  • Integrate AI and ML components to enhance software intelligence and leverage generative AI tools to improve development velocity.
  • Assist in solution design, participate in design reviews, and ensure scalable, secure, and maintainable software systems.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical requirements and success metrics aligned with business objectives.
  • Monitor application performance, conduct maintenance, and ensure high-quality software delivery.
  • Mentor peers, promote engineering best practices, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

What you’ll bring

  • Strong proficiency in Swift (iOS) or Kotlin (Android) or React JS/Node JS, Java with experience building scalable and maintainable applications.
  • Proven track record shipping production apps on the App Store and/or Google Play.
  • Deep understanding of mobile UI/UX principles.
  • Experience with RESTful API/GraphQL integration and secure data handling.
  • Solid grasp of mobile app lifecycle, memory management, and performance optimization.
  • Strong focus on building high-quality, testable applications with robust test coverage.
  • Experience working in large, enterprise-scale organizations with cross-functional collaboration.
  • Skilled in integrating AI/ML components and leveraging AI tools to enhance development.
  • Knowledge of supporting tools like Figma, Charles, Postman.
  • Prior experience in the retail industry is a strong plus.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area AND 3 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
  • 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area AND 1 year’s experience in software engineering or related area.
  • Knowledge and experience creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of accessibility best practices and join us as we continue to create accessible products and services following Walmart’s accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture.

The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00 - $234,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location).
