Urohospitalist

Jackson and Coker is seeking a Board Certified Urologist for a locums opportunity in South Carolina. This role involves providing 24-hour call coverage as a Urohospitalist at a busy Level 1 Trauma Center. The position requires comfort with a high volume of inpatients and consults, including complex trauma cases and a wide range of procedures.

Practice Info

• Busy Level 1 Trauma Center in South Carolina
• Patient Volume: 20-25 inpatients over the weekend, plus 15-20 consults
• No APP coverage on weekends
• EMR: EPIC

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour call coverage
• Perform rounding, procedures, and consults
• Manage trauma cases, including open procedures for gunshot and stab wounds (kidneys, testicles, bladder repair)
• Perform stone care, stents, catheters, cystoscopies
• Handle pediatric torsions, incidental appendectomy
• Conduct adrenal surgery, hernia repair, endourology procedures
• Perform hand-assisted laparoscopic nephrectomy
