nAbout the Role:
nAs a CBRE Union Building Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring building system operations and performance. You will oversee various areas including plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling.
nShift 9 AM - 6 PM M-F
nThis job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
nWhat You'll Do:
nPerform maintenance and repairs to the mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems for the facility and building. Keep the systems up to applicable standards as assigned.
nComply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agencies, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
nMaintain an energy management program to ensure all systems operate in the most efficient manner.
nAssist with the implementation of a preventive maintenance program to ensure that building machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life. Perform emergency repairs as needed.
nFollow departmental policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials. Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
nReview inspections to building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by the client.
nApply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems.
nHave a broad knowledge of own job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
nLead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with the company's RISE values. You may need to convince others to reach an agreement.
nImpact the quality of your own work and the work of others on the team.
nWork primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
nWhat You'll Need:
nHigh School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 3-4 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Universal CFC certification is preferred. Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions.
nMeet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
nUnderstanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
nAbility to analyze possible solutions using technical experience and apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
nIn-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
nStrong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
nAdvanced math skills. Ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.

nCBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The maximum rate for the Building Engineer position is $49.90 per hour. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
