Travel Surgical Technologist

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist with strong neuro expertise for a day-shift OR role requiring at least 3 years of specialty experience.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the operating room specialty required
• Highly proficient in all aspects of neuro surgical procedures
• Experience in robotics, orthopedics, or general surgery is a plus but not required
• BLS certification required
• NBSTSA certification preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I or Level II experience preferred
• Prior travel experience required
• License required if applicable

Responsibilities

• Hospital operating room setting
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 8:30 AM to 9:00 PM
• 13-week assignment length
• On-call requirement
• May be assigned to an Emergency Team during declared emergency events, requiring on-site presence until relief arrives
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Candidates must live more than 65 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Two Manager/Supervisor references (Charge RNs not accepted) required prior to starting contract, though not required for initial consideration
• RTO must be disclosed and discussed during the interview process to avoid risk of offer rescission
• Orientation is held five days a week
• Candidates who previously worked as permanent staff or in-house agency contractors must have a full year separation before returning as a travel employee
