American Traveler is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist with strong neuro expertise for a day-shift OR role requiring at least 3 years of specialty experience.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the operating room specialty required
- Highly proficient in all aspects of neuro surgical procedures
- Experience in robotics, orthopedics, or general surgery is a plus but not required
- BLS certification required
- NBSTSA certification preferred
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Trauma Level I or Level II experience preferred
- Prior travel experience required
- License required if applicable
Responsibilities
- Hospital operating room setting
- Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 8:30 AM to 9:00 PM
- 13-week assignment length
- On-call requirement
- May be assigned to an Emergency Team during declared emergency events, requiring on-site presence until relief arrives
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Candidates must live more than 65 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Two Manager/Supervisor references (Charge RNs not accepted) required prior to starting contract, though not required for initial consideration
- RTO must be disclosed and discussed during the interview process to avoid risk of offer rescission
- Orientation is held five days a week
- Candidates who previously worked as permanent staff or in-house agency contractors must have a full year separation before returning as a travel employee
