Travel RN - Telemetry - Progressive Care Unit

American Traveler is seeking a Travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring ACLS certification and 2 years of experience on night shift.

Requirements

• Active RN license (GA or Compact) required
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Skilled in cardiac and insulin drip management
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
• One professional reference required (two required for FL and MO candidates)
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Responsibilities

• Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of a 29-bed hospital unit
• Patient ratios are approximately 1:4-1:5
• Unit supported by unit secretaries (UC) and patient care techs (PCT)
• Uses Alaris IV pumps, Welch Allyn vital sign machines, bladder scanners, and vein finders
• Documents in Meditech
• Scheduled for 36 hours per week on night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Floating required to areas within staff competencies
• Familiar with cardiac and insulin drip management
• Provide safe, high-quality, and compassionate patient care
• Perform vital sign checks every 4 hours or more frequently as needed based on patient condition
• Perform blood glucose checks as ordered
• Complete required documentation and assessments each shift
• Staff are described as cohesive and collaborative, working well as a team
• Self-scheduling available, with consideration given to candidates preferring three consecutive night shifts
• Dress code requires royal blue scrubs; no artificial or gel nails permitted
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
