American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med Surg Telemetry night shift position requiring a CO or compact RN license and 1 year of specialty experience.
Requirements
- Active RN license (CO or compact) required
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
- ACLS, NRP, or PALS certification required as appropriate for the unit
- ASN required, BSN preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the specialty being applied for
- Epic charting experience required
- Certifications must be AHA-issued and not expire prior to the start date
Responsibilities
- Med Surg Tele unit within a hospital setting
- Full-time night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts per week
- May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
- May be required to take on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
- Uses Epic for charting
- Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with state Board of Nursing standards
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while performing health teaching and counseling
- Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
- Promote the mission, vision, and values of the health system and abide by service behavior standards
- Permanent staff must be separated from any facility within this health system for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
