American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a night shift hospital position requiring 2+ years of telemetry experience and a GA or Compact RN license.
Requirements
- Active GA or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS preferred
- Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and rapid response/code team utilization
- Skilled in IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, and PICC line management
- Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP management and oxygen administration
- Experience managing cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration) and PCA
- Copies of required certifications needed for consideration
Responsibilities
- Telemetry unit caring for adults to geriatric patients
- Common diagnoses include CHF, MI/chest pain (pre- and post-cath), dysrhythmias (pre- and post-device implants), hypo-/hypertension, pleural effusion, sepsis, and PE/DVT/vascular issues
- Patient ratio of 1:4-5 on a 36-bed unit with an average daily census of 35
- Uses Epic (required), Pyxis, and SBAR communication
- Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:00
- Every other weekend required unless otherwise specified
- Floating required within facility and scope of practice as needed
- No on-call requirements
- Provide telemetry-level nursing care including cardiac monitoring, medication management, and post-cardiac procedure care
- Navy blue scrubs required
- Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, finalized at time of submission with no post-offer schedule changes
- No RTO permitted during orientation week or the designated Spring Break blackout (April 4th-12th)
- Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment period (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day)
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply

- Previous Piedmont employees must be separated from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before returning as a traveler
- Travelers who cancel or receive a facility DNR must complete one assignment outside Piedmont before reapplying
