Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with a TX or compact license and at least one year of OR experience for a 13-week assignment.

Requirements

• Active RN license (TX or Compact) required
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room nursing experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• State-issued ID required prior to consideration
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Work in the Operating Room department of a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• On-call requirements include one full weekend per month and two weekdays per month
• Specific work days include Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience across a broad range of surgical specialties is valued, including Gynecology, Neurology, Orthopedics, General Surgery, Cardiovascular, Vascular, Urology, Thoracic, ENT, Podiatry, Plastics, Bariatrics, and Transplant procedures
• Familiarity with robotic surgical systems such as Da Vinci and Mako Surgical System is a plus
• Experience with specialized equipment including cell saver, electrosurgical units, Hana Table, and Steris systems is beneficial
• Participation in emergency management protocols such as code response, fire safety, and malignant hyperthermia management may be required
• Holiday coverage is required
• RTO requests are limited to 5 non-consecutive days, with only one holiday request allowed during the November-January holiday season, subject to management approval prior to contract signing
• Candidates residing within 90 miles are considered local and accepted at a lower bill rate
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Completion of pre-employment and annual training modules via Healthstream is required
