American Traveler is hiring a Home Health RN for a West Portland, OR assignment requiring an active OR license and at least 1 year of skilled home health experience.

- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of skilled home health experience required
- OASIS experience required
- Experience with wound care, medication administration, and infection control precautions
- Must have own reliable transportation for home visits
Responsibilities
- Provides in-home skilled nursing care to patients in West Portland, OR and surrounding areas
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- 1:1 patient ratio with up to 6 patient visits per day
- No weekend requirement
- No on-call responsibilities
- No floating between units required
- Uses EPIC Remote Client for Home Health charting and the Rover phone app, along with OASIS documentation
- Performs admission assessments, recertifications, resumption of care, routine visits, and start of care documentation
- Care may include gastrointestinal management (colostomy/ileostomy, G-tube care), wound care and wound VAC management, and medication administration via multiple routes
- System groups clients to minimize drive time, though occasional daily travel radius may reach 60 miles
- Business casual attire required; scrubs optional and no specific color required
- Requires primary series COVID vaccination plus one booster
- Free parking provided and mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate
- First-time travelers accepted, provided they have home health experience
- Local candidates accepted within a 50-75 mile radius at the same pay rate
- Returning former staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
