American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a Level II Trauma Center requiring prior travel experience and multiple specialty certifications.
Requirements
- Active CT RN license or Compact license required
- Minimum 2 years of ER experience required (1.5 years may be considered with Level I trauma or travel experience)
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
- Epic charting experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Skills required include IV therapy/phlebotomy, arterial line management, respiratory care, BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, isolation precautions/PPE, triage, and IV vasopressor administration
- Central line care/management preferred
- One professional reference required
Responsibilities
- Emergency Department setting in a short-term acute care hospital with 426 staffed beds
- Level II Trauma Center
- Day shift schedule, 4x12 hours )
- Every other weekend required
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- Uses Epic charting system
- Provide emergency care including triage, medication administration, and management of critically ill patients
- Free parking available on-site
- Part of the Yale New Haven Health System
- Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
- COVID vaccine and booster required with only religious or medical exemptions accepted
- Candidates must live outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
- Former staff must have separated from employment for at least 2 years before returning as a traveler
- Up to 7 days of RTO can be auto-approved
