Job Details

Travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist – 13‑week assignment in Bloomington, Indiana. 40 hours per week, 8‑hour days. Start Date: 05/05/2026.

Responsibilities

  • Educate patients about nuclear medicine procedures and address their questions.
  • Maintain and inspect nuclear medicine equipment, ensuring proper functioning and compliance with radiation safety standards.
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals and other medications according to established protocols.
  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions to radioactive drugs, intervening as necessary to ensure safety.
  • Operate medical imaging equipment to create images of organs or body areas per physician orders.
  • Document procedure details in patient records to ensure continuity of care and regulatory compliance.
  • Follow hospital safety rules and radiation safety procedures to minimize exposure.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned within the scope of Nuclear Medicine Technologist practice.

Required Qualifications

  • One year’s experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
  • Current Nuclear Medicine Technologist/Radiography license in compliance with state regulations.
  • Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current ARRT or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT).
  • Additional certifications and licenses as required for the position.

Required Essential Skills

  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and perform basic PC functions.
  • Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment up to 100 lbs, push, pull, and bend.
  • Professional interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse personnel.
  • Technical/motor skills for fine manipulation and use of department equipment.
  • Ability to handle frequent customer contact, meet deadlines under pressure, and work independently with occasional supervision.
  • Visual acuity and effective communication proficiency.
