Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Magnet-recognized teaching hospital, requiring ARRT certification and a minimum of 1 year IR experience (2 years for first-time travelers)

- 281 staffed beds
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM with variable days off
- On-call required 5-6 days per month, including 1 weekend per month
- Floating within the hospital required, but not to sister facilities
- Charting completed in EPIC
- Facility does not accommodate block scheduling
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of IR experience required (2 years required for first-time travelers)
- Current ARRT and BLS certification required
- WA state license required if applicable
- EPIC charting experience required
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Proficiency in procedures such as angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, IVC filter placement/removal, and vascular closure systems
- Experience with fluoroscopy equipment (Philips and/or Siemens) and ultrasound
- Skills in sterile technique, equipment setup, and room circulating duties
- Experience in Hybrid OR and special procedures settings preferred
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include equipment setup, prepping access sites, maintaining sterile fields, and accurate patient monitoring during procedures
- Performs a wide range of vascular, genitourinary, and neurological interventional procedures
- Scrubs provided for OR personnel
- COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions
- First-time travelers considered with a minimum of 2 years IR experience
- Prior UW Medical staff must have a separation period of 18 months before returning as a traveler
- RTO limited to a maximum of 1 week and cannot be requested during the first 2 weeks of assignment
- Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate with no mile radius restriction
