Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Magnet-recognized teaching hospital, requiring ARRT certification and a minimum of 1 year IR experience (2 years for first-time travelers)

• ).Interventional Radiology department in a Magnet-designated, Level 4 Trauma teaching hospital
• 281 staffed beds
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM with variable days off
• On-call required 5-6 days per month, including 1 weekend per month
• Floating within the hospital required, but not to sister facilities
• Charting completed in EPIC
• Facility does not accommodate block scheduling

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of IR experience required (2 years required for first-time travelers)
• Current ARRT and BLS certification required
• WA state license required if applicable
• EPIC charting experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Proficiency in procedures such as angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, IVC filter placement/removal, and vascular closure systems
• Experience with fluoroscopy equipment (Philips and/or Siemens) and ultrasound
• Skills in sterile technique, equipment setup, and room circulating duties
• Experience in Hybrid OR and special procedures settings preferred

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include equipment setup, prepping access sites, maintaining sterile fields, and accurate patient monitoring during procedures
• Performs a wide range of vascular, genitourinary, and neurological interventional procedures
• Scrubs provided for OR personnel
• COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions
• First-time travelers considered with a minimum of 2 years IR experience
• Prior UW Medical staff must have a separation period of 18 months before returning as a traveler
• RTO limited to a maximum of 1 week and cannot be requested during the first 2 weeks of assignment
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate with no mile radius restriction
