Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with ARRT-CT certification and experience in trauma and angiogram procedures for a 13-week night shift assignment at a Level II Trauma Center
Details
- Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU, and Primary Stroke Center with 492 beds
- Work in the main Radiology department, rotating through different areas within the department
- Inpatient and outpatient adult population, with occasional pediatric patients in outpatient and ED settings
- Average caseload of 4 patients per hour, approximately 40 patients per day
- 1:1 patient ratio
- Procedures include biopsy drainage, trauma imaging, and angiograms, with stroke perfusion experience strongly preferred
- All GE CT equipment
- Uses Cerner EMR
- 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, Friday-Sunday starting at 9:00 PM
- Weekend rotation varies, typically once a month based on departmental needs
- Voluntary on-call requirement
- May float throughout the hospital as needed
Requirements
- ARRT-CT certification required; state license preferred if applicable
- BLS and ARRT certification required
- Strong experience with required skills for candidates with 1 year of experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience with required skills for first-time travelers
- Experience with biopsy drainage, trauma imaging, and angiogram procedures required
- Stroke perfusion experience strongly preferred
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
Additional Information
- One 8-hour hospital orientation followed by 2-3 shifts on the unit with another tech during day shift
- Holiday coverage includes one major and one minor seasonal holiday per hospital policy
- Any color scrubs permitted
- Free parking available
- First-time travelers will be considered with at least 2 years of relevant experience
- Candidates must live outside a 60-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
- Former staff members must wait 6 months before being eligible to return as a traveler
