Qualifications

• 18+ months experience as a CT Tech in a health care setting
• Must be ARRT (CT) or ASRT certified
• State licensure required in most states
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Duties & Responsibilities

• Position patients for CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary
• Appropriately set controls of the equipment, monitor equipment and patient, make adjustments as necessary
• Assist the radiologist with imaging procedures, including starting IVs and injecting contrast, if applicable
• Dispense oral contrast to patients for CT scans
• Assist the radiologist with interventional CT procedures
• Evaluate CT scans for technical quality, collate processed images in sequence of exposure and label appropriately
• Schedule patients for procedures and assist with some clerical functions
• Charge procedures and supplies used to the patient record
• Load and operate power injections for contrast media administration
• Provide quality, cost‑effective patient care in a professional manner
• Work effectively to maintain an environment of excellence, patient‑focused, providing timely, compassionate, quality care
• Promote and maintain a safe work environment for staff and patients, incorporating national patient safety initiatives
