Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support as required.
• Correctly interpret doctors’ written instructions.
• Appropriately position patients to scan specific body areas.
• Operate computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of internal organs and tissues.
• Administer radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance image visibility.
• Evaluate CT scans to determine technical quality.
• Follow safety procedures when working with radiation.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist.
• Must hold BLS and ARRT (CT) certifications; state licensing when required.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, or stoop for extended periods.
• Solid knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Additional certifications (e.g., ARRT (R) 2 years) may be required prior to assignment.
