This role combines technical leadership and project management, overseeing multidisciplinary engineering teams while ensuring project delivery meets scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements. Strong expertise with PLS-CADD modeling and transmission design is essential.Key ResponsibilitiesEngineering LeadershipLead engineering teams for overhead transmission line projects (69kV+).Provide technical oversight for transmission line routing and design activities.Project ManagementManage engineering scope, project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards.Transmission Line DesignServe as the technical lead for PLS-CADD modeling and analysis.Perform and review transmission design calculations including:Structural loadingLine routingFraming and hardware selectionFoundation designCross-Functional CoordinationCoordinate with multiple engineering disciplines including:Structural engineeringCivil engineeringPermitting teamsProcurement teamsConstruction support teamsClient & Business DevelopmentInterface with utility clients and project stakeholders.Support proposal preparation and business development initiatives.Team LeadershipMentor junior engineers and designers.Provide technical guidance on transmission design best practices and tools, including PLS-CADD.Required QualificationsEducationBachelor's degree in Engineering: Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.Experience8–12+ years of overhead transmission line design experience.Experience working on transmission systems 69kV or higher.Experience leading engineering teams and managing technical deliverables.Technical SkillsPLS-CADD expertise (Required)Strong understanding of structural aspects of transmission line design.Experience with:Foundation designFraming and structural loadingLine routing and modelingPreferred QualificationsProfessional Engineer (PE) LicenseExperience supporting EPC or engineering consulting projects.Experience with transmission structures including:Steel structuresWood polesLaminated or composite polesLattice towers
