Transmission Line Engineer III
This position is with a global leader in the power and energy industry specializing in transmission, distribution, and substation projects across the US. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing all technical aspects and deliverables associated with the conceptual and detailed transmission lines design of increasing complexity using PLS-CADD and foundation design software such as L-Pile, MFAD or Caisson. They will coordinate the preparation of construction release packages for high voltage transmission lines including plan and profiles, structure load trees, structure assemblies and details, stringing charts, foundation schedules and details, and bills of material. They will also assign tasks and provide guidance to junior team members and coordinate quality control reviews for work performed by EITs and/or Designers.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, or related field. They should have experience interpreting and applying requisite industry design codes such as NESC, IEEE, ASCE and ACI. They should have 4+ years of transmission line engineering experience in the electric utility and/or renewables industry. They should be experienced using PLS-CADD, performing analysis of transmission structures, and preparing specifications and drawings and other engineering documents for transmission line projects. They should be proficient with Microsoft Office and have strong written and verbal communication skills.
Hourly pay ranges from $45 to $75 USD. There is flexibility that works: choose a hybrid or remote schedule that fits your life and projects.
