Therapist Speech Language Pathologist

n Job Summary:n
n Provide specialized speech-language pathology services to inpatient populations, evaluating and treating patients with communication and swallowing disorders. Deliver care within a collaborative healthcare team, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and compliance with licensing and safety standards.n

n Responsibilities:n

• n Assess patients’ speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing functions to develop individualized treatment plans.n
• n Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve communication and swallowing abilities.n
• n Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and adjust treatment strategies as needed.n
• n Document patient progress and clinical findings accurately in transcripts and electronic health records.n
• n Comply with facility and licensing regulations, including BLS and state licensure requirements.n
• n Adapt to unit and patient needs, floating as required within scope of practice.n

n Qualifications:n

• n Valid Kansas or Compact Speech-Language Pathologist license in hand.n
• n Minimum of 1 year of inpatient therapy experience.n
• n BLS certification required.n
• n Ability to travel within a 50-mile local radius and float to related units.n
• n Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills.n
• n Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.n
