Test Engineer – Protection & Control (P&C)We are seeking a Test Engineer – Protection & Control (P&C) with 0–3 years of experience to support the installation, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of protection and control systems used in power substations. This role is ideal for early-career engineers looking to build hands-on experience in electrical power systems, protection relays, and control technologies.The engineer will apply electrical engineering fundamentals and computer-based tools to ensure reliable operation of protection and control equipment, including microprocessor relays, PLCs, sensors, motors, and associated systems.Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesInstall, maintain, test, and troubleshoot protection and control relaying systems and associated devicesPerform calibration and testing of protection and control relays and related equipmentAssist in developing, updating, and maintaining protection and control documentationSupport assigned project leads with field activities and testing assignmentsInstall, program, configure, and maintain P&C relays and devicesParticipate in process hazard analyses (PHA) and safety reviewsRead, interpret, and work from electrical schematics and wiring diagramsMaintain awareness of current industry standards, technologies, and best practicesFollow safety procedures and quality standards during field and testing activitiesRequired Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent (required)Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering preferred)0–3 years of experience in engineering, testing, or a related technical roleFamiliarity with Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics and drawingsWorking knowledge of PLCs and HMIsUnderstanding of AC and DC electrical systemsStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skillsWillingness to work in field environments such as substations
