Test Engineer, Electrical Integration Lab (EIL)Our client, an AV manufacturing company, is looking for a Test Engineer, Electrical Integration Lab (EIL) for their Foster City, CA location.
Responsibilities include:Execute manual and automated structured test plans on dynamometer systems to validate client software releases across platforms like DynoBot Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) electrical test assets.Perform functional, regression, and integration testing on EIL test assets in support of SW release cyclesMonitor, record, and analyze test data to identify anomalies, failures, and trendsCollaborate with software, hardware, and systems engineers to reproduce issues, characterize root causes, and verify fixesDocument test procedures, results, and defects with precision and clarityMaintain, troubleshoot and build automation for our dyno test infrastructure to ensure maximum uptime and reliability.Contribute to continuous improvement of test processes, tooling, and automation within the labSupport test asset configuration management and track hardware/software build statesExecute software flashing procedures for vehicle electronic control units (ECUs) and other programmable componentsRequirements include:BS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field4 to 6 years' work experience in a test, validation, or integration engineering roleHands-on experience with electro-mechanical integration and testing of systems and subsystemsExperience with HIL systems like dSPACE, CANoe, Labview (or similar).Experience in R&D electronics environment or electrical testing labExperience executing and documenting test plans in a structured test environmentStrong analytical and debugging skills — you're methodical when something doesn't behave as expectedExperience with electronic lab equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power analyzers, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, programmable power supplies, chillers, accelerometers and torque sensorsComfortable working in a fast-paced lab environment with evolving hardware and softwareFamiliarity with Python or scripting for test automationExperience with Linux command-line-interface (CLI) and filesystem topologyExperience with data acquisition tools and log analysisAbility to translate HW/SW requirements into actionable test casesExperience with axle-hub dynamometersPrevious experience diagnosing CAN or ethernet network issuesWhy should you apply?
