Test Automation Developer (Entry Level)City: Dearborn, Detroit State/Province: MichiganRole Purpose: The purpose of this role is to design, test, and maintain software programs for operating systems or applications which need to be deployed at the client's end and ensure they meet 100% quality assurance parameters. This role will be part of Wipro's Engineering Team to explore tech trends, develop domain expertise, and craft solutions for real-world business challenges.Responsibilities:Instrumental in understanding the requirements and design of the product / softwareDevelop software solutions by studying information needs, studying systems flow, data usage and work processesInvestigating problem areas followed by the software development life cycleFacilitate root cause analysis of the system issues and problem statementIdentify ideas to improve system performance and impact availabilityAnalyze client requirements and convert requirements to feasible designCollaborate with functional teams or systems analysts who carry out the detailed investigation into software requirementsConferring with project managers to obtain information on software capabilitiesPerform coding and ensure optimal software / module developmentDevelop and automate processes for software validation by setting up and designing test cases/scenarios/usage cases, and executing these casesModifying software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, improve its performance, or upgrade interfacesEnsuring that code is error free or has no bugs and test failureProvide feedback on usability and serviceability, trace the result to quality risk and report it to concerned stakeholdersStatus Reporting and Customer Focus on an ongoing basis with respect to project and its executionCapturing all the requirements and clarifications from the client for better quality workTaking feedback on the regular basis to ensure smooth and on time deliveryParticipating in continuing education and training to remain current on best practices, learn new programming languages, and better assist other team membersGeneral responsibilities pertaining to strategic initiatives, teamwork, and collaborationCollaborate with global teams and senior leaders on internal initiatives aligned with our strategic partnersIdentify business requirements, translate into an actionable plan, and produce quality workParticipate in key meetings with partner leaders and cross-functional stakeholdersEngage and network with senior leaders who provide focused mentorship and leadership coachingDemonstrate leadership qualities and self-confidence by working collaboratively in a team environmentPerformance Parameters:Continuous Integration, Deployment & Monitoring of Software 100% error free on boarding & implementation, throughput %, Adherence to the schedule/ release planQuality & CSAT On-Time Delivery, Manage software, Troubleshoot queries, Customer experience, completion of assigned certifications for skill upgradationMIS & Reporting 100% on time MIS & report generationQualifications:Recent university graduate of a Bachelor's degree program or higherMinimum of a 3.0 on a 4.0 GPA scale.Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated teamwork and leadership abilitiesA familiarity with computer science concepts, programming languages, and/or cloud applications like Python, Java, Android, HMI, and Kotlin will be considered a plusAn internship or relevant experience will be considered a plusThe expected compensation for this role ranges from $68,420.00 to $73,685.00. Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience.
