You will play a role in the entire design process, including:Preliminary assessmentsConcept creationLeading designs with support from peers, SMEs, and BIM designersInternal and external problem resolutionDrawing and specification productionCustomer and vendor accessibilityYou may work on several concurrent projects and will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time.
You'll provide technical design leadership for systems in data center buildings, including structured cabling systems, wireless, audio-visual, and other low voltage systems.Key Responsibilities IncludeLeading BIM designers in the preparation of engineering drawingsDIV 27 specification creation or modificationConducting site visitsReviewing technical documentsLearning from more senior team leaders and receiving mentorshipManaging relationships with internal and external stakeholdersResponding to RFIs, Submittals, and Substitution requestsQualificationsRequired:Technical or associate's degree from an accredited institutionMinimum 4 years' experience actively designing or leading designs for telecommunications structured cabling systemsThorough knowledge of ANSI/TIA and BICSI standardsThorough knowledge of NFPA 70 and its application to telecommunications structured cabling systemsFamiliarity with NavisworksSelf-motivation to coordinate with other disciplines, project managers, and clientsExcellent project management skillsFamiliarity with responding to RFPsExperience in creating a budget for a projectExperience in creating and maintaining a project scheduleExperience in identifying and mitigating company riskCredential as an RCDD or ability to attain it within one year of hirePreferred:Experience working on other low voltage systems, including:SecurityAudio/VisualWirelessElectrical Engineering degree or related disciplineExperience installing telecommunications systemsExperience reading and analyzing test results for telecommunications systemsExperience troubleshooting issues during installation of telecommunications systemsBenefits PEAK's benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Dependent Care Savings Account (DCA), and 401K plan.
