Technical Services TechnicianThis is a skilled labor position for the operation, installation, dismantle, repair and maintenance of facility audio systems, dimmable lighting systems, rigging and staging systems, and the set-up, dismantle of client provided audio, video and lighting and rigging systems. Staff must be able to operate and trouble-shoot computerized Audio/Visual systems and equipment. This position is also required to operate high-lifts, forklifts and other material handling equipment as requested.

Additional responsibilities and tasks are assigned according to the needs of the client and the event. This position is governed by a contract between IATSE #7 and Legends Global.Primary duties and responsibilities include:Review event documents to determine equipment and service requirements needed for events, and proceed to install and dismantle equipment as neededOperate, maintain and troubleshoot facility audio, lighting, video, and production related equipmentInstall and dismantle facility dance floor and stages over 48" in heightOperate and maintain CCC dimmable lighting and digital audio systemsInstall event-related audio, lighting, video and riggingOperate high-lifts, forklifts and other material handling equipment as requested.Operate facility lifts for contractors/clients as directed.Coordinate and supervise on-call stagehandsMake recommendations for needed supply/equipment purchasesMaintain inventory in appropriate storage areasComplete timely and accurate data entry and provide event related labor/equipment/documentation to the Theatrical Services Manager or LeadTrack daily duties, review event related email and phone correspondenceOther duties as assigned; including, but not limited to, jurisdictional work for the buildingQualifications:High school diploma/GED preferredAt least 5 years of experience in industry or related fieldProduction of audio, lighting, video and rigging experience, required.Knowledge of sound reinforcement and stage lighting methodsKnowledge of safe rigging practices and proceduresExperience setting up and operating digital and analog audio mixers/consoles (Yamaha CL 5 equivalent)Experience setting video projection systems, and stage, audio and lighting componentsExperience setting, programming and operating stage lighting console (ION, ION xe, Grand MA)Experience with related technologies- DMX, Biamp Canvas and Tesira, Dante, LutronExperience working according to union contracts and collective bargaining agreementsExperience with up and down rigging experience in arena, theatre and tension grid systemAbility to rig for an event in an arena, theatre or tension grid following industry standard safety protocolsPerform job tasks effectively despite sudden deadlines and changing priorities required.Ability to understand and execute based on floor plans, drawings, written specifications and oral requests, required.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with clients and staff, required.Demonstrate excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills among all levels of staff and clientele, required.Advanced problem solving, organizational skills, and attention to detail requiredDemonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service in a professional and respectful manner, required.Excellent record of dependability and reliability, required.Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people among all levels within an organization; skill to work effectively as part of a team, required.Ability to speak, understand, and read and write standard English and follow direction, required.Ability to lift heavy items, bend, stoop and stand for long periods of time.Ability to supervise and direct stagehands in accordance with crew needs and union contract guidelines.Basic computer skills including ability to create word documents and manipulate excel spreadsheets and do basic data entry, requiredWorking conditions:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
