Own end-to-end delivery across multiple analytics workstreams — from requirements gathering through stakeholder sign-off
Maintain project plans, milestones, JIRA/ADO boards, and status reporting; elevate blockers proactively
Run structured sprint ceremonies, stand‑ups, and delivery reviews with both onshore and offshore teams
Maintain quality gates and ensure offshore output meets client coding standards and delivery acceptance criteria before client exposure
Serve as the primary day‑to‑day contact for mid‑level client stakeholders (Director / Sr. Manager level) across pods
Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate vague business needs into structured requirements, acceptance criteria, and delivery scope
Communicate progress, risks, and decisions clearly — written and verbal — calibrated to stakeholder level
Represent EXL in cross‑functional client forums and workstream planning sessions
Be involved in the approach to the problem, structure, and delivery of the analytical solution
Contribute to how analytical approaches are structured — from specification of analysis through gathering insights that integrate with initial hypotheses and business objectives
Independently address complex analytical problems with minimal supervision
Partner with offshore leads to review development, assess report quality, and data model design
Manage SOW scope, change controls, and commercial hygiene in coordination with the Engagement Manager
Track team utilization, flag billing gaps, and maintain offshore staffing visibility
Onboard new team members, maintain delivery runbooks, and document tribal knowledge
Identify and flag upsell or scope‑expansion opportunities to the Engagement Manager
Requirements
10+ years of experience in data analytics, BI delivery, or analytics consulting — with at least 3 years in a client‑facing project lead or PM role
Master's or bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, computer engineering, or a related analytics field; strong academic record preferred
Strong hands‑on background in Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, and SQL; ability to review and interrogate technical deliverables
Experience with GCP, BigQuery, or equivalent cloud data warehouse environments
Proven track record managing offshore/nearshore delivery teams across time zones
Retail analytics domain experience strongly preferred across one or more business verticals (e.g., Merchandise, Finance, Store Operations, Digital)
Excellent written and verbal communication; able to translate highly technical content into clear business narrative
Demonstrated ability to independently structure and solve complex analytical problems
Strong stakeholder management skills — comfortable navigating ambiguity and competing priorities with senior client stakeholders
Preferred Skills
Experience with Looker (LookML), Metabase, or MicroStrategy
Background in analytics‑based management consulting
Familiarity with agile delivery frameworks (JIRA, ADO, sprint ceremonies)
Experience in a staff augmentation or managed services delivery model
