Technical Product ManagerLocation: MiamiFTAI Aviation Ltd. (NASDAQ: FTAI) owns and maintains commercial jet engines with a focus on the Maintenance, Repair and Exchange (MRE) of CFM56 and V2500 engines. Additionally, FTAI owns and leases jet aircraft while using its network of Repair facilities worldwide to keep cost low.FTAI operates globally and has offices in New York, Miami, Montreal, Singapore, Dubai, United Kingdom and Ireland.The Technical Product Manager is responsible for supporting the technical activities involved in the maintenance and operation of CFM56 engine assets. The primary responsibility is to assist in the management of engines through the repair cycle.
The role will require a dedicated and reliable individual with a base level of knowledge of jet engine operation and maintenance with opportunity to grow within the role and take on further responsibility as more experience is developed.
The role is hands-on and asset-focused, translating engine maintenance realities from shop visits to lease returns into structured processes, decision frameworks, and operating models that drive consistent outcomes across FTAI's engine programs.
The role is based in office 5 days a week.Responsibilities:Assist in the management of engines while they are being repairedValidate maintenance planning logic, shop visit triggers, and initial workscope decisionsAssist with work instructions, configuration management, and deviation approvalsAlign asset plans with execution realities at the shopsMonitor completion status of engines throughout the MRO network for accurate planningInteract with customers, vendors and management to support technical inquiriesEnsure all modules and materials are maintained to strict KPIs and high-quality standardsOn-wing troubleshooting to assist with lessee technical issues and keep engines on-wingRespond promptly to technical inquiries from customers, shop personnel and managementQualifications:Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical disciplineLegally authorized to live and work in United StatesSpanish Language is helpful based on location of the roleExperience in the aviation industry in engineering or technical rolePrior CFM engine maintenance experience with an airline, maintenance repair organization (MRO), leasing company, or Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) is strongly preferredProven experience working with technical documentation including contracts, manuals, workscopes, and specificationsAbility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic shop environmentDemonstrated ability to work effectively with complex details and high attention to detail.Proficiency with MS Office Suite (particularly Excel and Word) and ability to quickly adapt to new toolsSuperior analytical, quantitative and communication (both oral and written) skills in EnglishMust have strong drive and initiative with ability to balance multiple tasksStrong interpersonal communication skills with ability to build working relationships with all colleaguesWillingness to travel to external MROs to perform engine reviews and table inspections
