Job Description
Job Summary:
Seeking a certified Surgical Technologist to join the perioperative team for a seasonal travel assignment in a busy operating room. The role involves supporting surgical procedures, ensuring sterile techniques, and maintaining a safe environment for patients and staff.
Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments and supplies according to procedure requirements.
• Assist surgeons and surgical team members during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile conditions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of surgical supplies, instruments, and patient records using electronic medical records systems.
• Adhere to hospital policies and safety protocols to ensure patient and staff safety throughout surgical operations.
• Sterilize and organize surgical instruments and equipment for optimal readiness.
• Respond promptly to call requirements, including on-call shifts during evenings and weekends.

Qualifications:

• Current CST certification through NBSTA and DORA is required.
• Minimum of 6 months recent acute care hospital experience supporting surgical procedures.
• Proven experience with OR equipment, sterile techniques, and surgical procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Flexibility to respond to on-call demands within 30 minutes.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
