Job Summary:
The CVOR Technologist plays a vital role as part of the heart team, supporting surgical procedures in the operating room under the supervision of a registered nurse. This position involves assisting with cardiovascular surgeries and ensuring optimal patient care during procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Assist surgeons and healthcare team members during cardiovascular operations by preparing and handling surgical instruments and equipment.
- Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols throughout procedures.
- Monitor and troubleshoot technical equipment to ensure proper functioning during surgeries.
- Support preoperative and postoperative patient care procedures as directed.
- Follow hospital policies and safety standards to promote patient and staff safety.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrate certification or credential as a CVOR Technologist or equivalent.
- Possess knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and operating room protocols.
- Exhibit strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively under supervision.
- Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Be flexible to work scheduled hours, including one day off per week, with 6-7 days of call per month.
