Job Summary:
The CT Tech is responsible for performing computed tomography imaging procedures in a fast-paced emergency department setting. The role requires collaboration with medical staff to ensure high-quality diagnostic imaging and patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic CT scans and X-ray procedures adhering to established protocols.
- Operate advanced imaging equipment such as GE Revo Maxima, GE Def Tempo, and GE AMX Navigate.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout imaging procedures.
- Maintain detailed documentation in the Meditech EMR system.
- Respond to call shifts and provide imaging support during emergencies.
- Follow unit policies and safety guidelines to ensure compliance and quality standards.
- Hold a minimum of 1 year of recent CT imaging experience.
- ARRT (R) certified in Computed Tomography or equivalent credential.
- Current BLS certification.
- Ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment.
- Prior experience in emergency or free-standing ED preferred.
- Knowledge of Meditech EMR system is a plus.
