Our personal financial services/high net worth tax practice provides specialized tax solutions for ultra-high net worth individuals and families to help them navigate complex tax landscapes, build and preserve their wealth. Position Overview As a tax associate on our personal financial services/high-net-worth team, you will work as part of a team and utilize resources to add value to clients and assist with all stages of the preparation process for tax compliance engagements.Key ResponsibilitiesParticipate in the preparation of individual tax returns for high-net-worth clientele and utilize feedback to ensure accuracy and efficiencyPrepare income tax projections and estimate calculations for clientsConduct research, analysis, development and summarization of financial informationAnalyze accounting records, financial statements or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to reporting and procedural standardsMaintain and organize client files in accordance with firm standardsDevelop effective working relationships with clients and firm associatesEngages in professional communication with clients under supervision of Managers and SeniorsCommunicate with the IRS and other state authorities in a professional manner when applicableSupports Interns in professional developmentMaintain open communication with management regarding the progress of completion on projectsUse critical thinking to investigate client financials and fix any discrepanciesParticipate actively in training and developmental opportunitiesQualifications And RequirementsBachelor's in accounting; Master's preferred (150 hour requirement threshold should be satisfied or a specific plan in place)One busy season of tax experience, preferably with exposure to high-net-worth individual returnsActively studying and preparing for the CPA certification if not already obtainedStrong commitment to professional and client service excellenceProven time management, organizational and prioritization skillsWhy Join Bennett Thrasher?
