Rate OpenSkill set Git source code control. Oracle Linux 7 system administration. Docker - developing, maintaining, and improving containerized applications. Teamcity - creating CI/CD builds of the application stack, troubleshooting build system issues. Apache - web server configuration and troubleshooting. MySQL - database administration, SQL query authoring and troubleshooting. Chef - configuration automation.Job requirements Design, develop, and support tools that meet the needs of the OCI Security team. Code, debug, compile, test, version, distribute, and support internal applications. Work with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand use cases, and clearly communicate technical information. Participate in secure software development life cycle development using agile methods. Provide visibility into task estimates, progress, quality, and completeness. Work with others to create consensus on design direction. Work with developers in other time zones and other countries. Clear technical writing and verbal skills. Specific knowledge of Oracle Linux, Redhat, or CentOS platforms. The engineer must be able to combine multiple open source technologies into a package that can be delivered through a CI/CD pipeline to multiple data centers.Programming languages Broad programming language experience is a big plus. Candidate must have the ability to choose the right language to solve the problem. Some experience with scripting languages, strongly typed compiled languages, as well as web technologies is required. Bash, chef, python, ruby, php, Go, javascript, java.Libraries/Protocols Experience with the following protocols OpenLDAP, FreeRadius, SAML, TLS, REST, JSON, XML. Web Application platforms: Apache, Nginx, Grails, Ruby on Rails, Java Servlet Containers (Tomcat, Jetty, etc). Security: Apply strong cryptographic algorithms. Evaluate architectures for security weaknesses. Create robust software free from common vulnerabilities and design flaws. Integrate applications with modern AuthN/Z mechanisms.Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience. 6+ years in application development. Demonstrated ability to work independently, working closely with business stakeholders to design, develop, test, and support implemented solutions. Detailed knowledge with development practices in support of agile and waterfall project methodologies. Good interpersonal skills. Highly self-motivated and directed. Good written and oral communication skills. Enjoys solving difficult problems.
