Systems EngineerA Global Defense and Space Contractor is seeking a Systems Engineer to join their team in Sunnyvale, CA! This role is 100% on site and will be a 9/80 schedule with on console during operations periods. We are looking for a dynamic Systems Engineer to join their team in Sunnyvale, California.

As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:Design, implement, and maintain virtualization infrastructure, including VMware vSphere, vCenter, and related technologiesProvide expert-level Windows administration, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Windows operating systemsDevelop and maintain documentation for virtualization and Windows environments, including configuration guides, troubleshooting procedures, and best practicesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of virtualization and Windows environments with other IT systems and infrastructureTroubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to virtualization, VMware, and Windows environmentsDevelop and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline virtualization and Windows administration tasksEnsure compliance with industry standards, best practices, and company policies for virtualization and Windows environmentsProvide training and guidance to junior team members on virtualization, VMware, and Windows administrationParticipate in on-call rotations and provide 24/7 support for critical systems and infrastructureDesign, implement, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure using OpenShift and OpenStack, including container orchestration, deployment, and managementDevelop and maintain containerized applications and microservices using Docker, Kubernetes, and other containerization technologiesCollaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud-based applications and services with other IT systems and infrastructureEnsure compliance with industry standards, best practices, and company policies for cloud-based environmentsBasic QualificationsBachelors degree in Computer Engineering, or equivalent experienceMinimum 5 years of experience in systems engineering, with a focus on virtualization, VMware, Windows administration, and cloud technologiesStrong knowledge of virtualization technologies, including VMware vSphere, vCenter, and related productsExpert-level knowledge of Windows operating systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshootingActive DoD Secret security clearanceDesired SkillsVMware VCP or VCAP certificationMicrosoft MCSA or MCSE certificationRed Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA) certificationOpenShift and OpenStack certifications, such as Red Hat OpenShift Administration or OpenStack Foundation Certified OpenStack AdministratorKnowledge of containerization technologies, including Docker and KubernetesExperience with automation tools and scripting languages, such as PowerShell, Python, or PerlExperience with agile development methodologies and DevOps practicesKnowledge of IT security frameworks and compliance regulations, such as DCSAExperience with cloud-based storage solutions, such as Ceph or GlusterExperience with cloud computing platforms, including OpenShift and OpenStackAbility to obtain DoD top secret security clearanceClearance: Secret - Must be willing to upgrade to TS immediately Kaztronix is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, religion, disability, veteran status or any other consideration made unlawful by federal, state or local laws.
