Swiss CNC Applications EngineerMinneapolis, Minnesota, United StatesRoles and Responsibilities:Running turnkey projects, demonstrations, and other customer-related projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budgetConducting pre-sale activities and reviews, including customer visits, evaluation of opportunities, machine assessment and recommendations, part processing recommendations and development of turnkey proposalDeveloping/implementing custom demonstrations and training customers in the safe set-up and operation of CNC machining centers, lathes, grinders, Swiss-style lathes, and/ or multi-tasking machinesConducts training of customers in the safe set-up and operation of CNC machining centers, lathes, grinders, Swiss-style lathes, and/or multi-tasking machines.Making accurate cost estimates, writing engineering reports, and interpreting plans and specificationsTravel to customers for on-site training and engineering assistance.Qualifications:Experience in Sliding Headstock (Swiss) CNC machine tool related engineering and manufacturingPossessing and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of machine tool industry and product lines represented by the companyKnowledge of Fanuc-based controls and 5-axis experience is a plusExperience with CAD/CAM software is preferred but not required.Able to think quickly, assess a situation, and make a sound decision.Required Citizenship / Work Permit / Visa Status:US Citizen/Green Card HolderMust-Haves:* Associate's degree in a related field is preferred.
