Swiss CNC Applications Engineer

Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Running turnkey projects, demonstrations, and other customer-related projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget
  • Conducting pre-sale activities and reviews, including customer visits, evaluation of opportunities, machine assessment and recommendations, part processing recommendations and development of turnkey proposal
  • Developing/implementing custom demonstrations and training customers in the safe set-up and operation of CNC machining centers, lathes, grinders, Swiss-style lathes, and/ or multi-tasking machines
  • Conducts training of customers in the safe set-up and operation of CNC machining centers, lathes, grinders, Swiss-style lathes, and/or multi-tasking machines.
  • Making accurate cost estimates, writing engineering reports, and interpreting plans and specifications
  • Travel to customers for on-site training and engineering assistance.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in Sliding Headstock (Swiss) CNC machine tool related engineering and manufacturing
  • Possessing and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of machine tool industry and product lines represented by the company
  • Knowledge of Fanuc-based controls and 5-axis experience is a plus
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software is preferred but not required.
  • Able to think quickly, assess a situation, and make a sound decision.
Required Citizenship / Work Permit / Visa Status:

US Citizen/Green Card Holder

Must-Haves:

* Associate's degree in a related field is preferred. High School Diploma/GED required * We need candidates from machine manufacturing industries. * Experience in Sliding Headstock (Swiss) CNC machine tool related engineering and manufacturing only * Knowledge of Fanuc-based controls and 5-axis experience is a plus

Nice to Have:

* Experience with CAD/CAM software is preferred but not required.
