Pride Health is hiring for a Surgical Tech to support our client’s medical facility based in Rochester, MI . This is a local contract or travel contract opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Responsibilities:

  • Scrub and assist on general surgical procedures.
  • Set up surgical tables, instruments, and supplies based on procedure requirements.
  • Verify proper functioning of instruments and report any malfunctions.
  • Follow all safety, infection control, and environmental policies.
  • Use sterile supplies efficiently and handle instruments with care.
  • Respond to emergencies according to established protocols.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked operating room environment.
  • Provide comfort and support to pre-operative patients while maintaining privacy.
  • Assist with patient transport, admission, transfer, and discharge.
  • Participate in audits, quality programs, and ongoing education.
  • Support new staff training within scope of role.
  • Help manage inventory and adjust supply levels as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • One year of experience in a Surgical Technologist role.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Current AHA BLS certification .
  • Physically able to lift/move patients and equipment.
  • Able to stand and walk for long periods.
  • Comfortable working in clinical environments with potential exposure to odors, communicable diseases, and medical equipment.

Additional Information:

  • Job Type: 13 weeks- local contract or travel contract
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
  • Pay Range/Salary Range: $1640/wk to $1840/wk
