Pathologist Opportunity

A dynamic pathologist who thrives in evaluating and diagnosing a broad spectrum of surgical pathology and clinical pathology cases. Ideal candidates are those with a knack for Cytopathology and/or Hematopathology, although this is a welcomed asset, not a requirement. Our laboratory regularly encounters cases involving breast, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, gynecologic, pulmonary, and skin tissues, with a burgeoning demand in gynecology cytopathology and flow cytometry.

Your Role:

  • Provide expert consultation and communicate the medical significance of laboratory data to referring physicians.
  • Deliver accurate and timely evaluations and diagnoses across a wide range of anatomic pathology specimens.
  • Engage actively as a vital member of the pathology team, fostering a team-oriented approach to patient care.
  • Contribute to the continual improvement of our pathology services and maintain a safe, collegial work environment.

Your Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Active Tennessee medical license (or eligibility to obtain one) with support from AEL for any additional licensure required.
  • Board Certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology by the American Board of Pathology or the American Osteopathic Board of Pathology. Fellowship training or proficiency in Cytopathology and/or Hematopathology is a plus.
