With manufacturing, operations and sales, service, and support functions across the globe, your journey at Tennant can take you places you never expected.General Responsibilities:Regularly engage with manufacturing plants & distribution facility to resolve any supply disruptionsUtilize plant quality data to monitor disruptions, drive root cause and corrective action issues (8D process)Manage and improve quality for electrical & mechanical commodities: Molded plastics, engines, hydraulics, castings, and metal fabrication.New Supplier Assessments for purpose of providing input on sourcing decisions - Assess capabilities with respect to quality management systems, capacity & technologySupplier Visits - Conduct metrics/corrective action reviews, assess processes & capabilities as well as strengthening supplier relationshipsTrain suppliers and hold them accountable to Tennant's supplier manual & expectationsData driven recommendations to supply chain organization: grow, hold steady, retract or re-source based on performancePartner with Tennant engineering to assist with problematic designs & influence new designsPareto plant disruptions, PPM & warranty data to drive continuous improvement projects (A3) for chronic issues (PDCA)Lead open issues meetings (both internal and external) to resolve quality concerns on electrical componentsEvaluate material & process changes with the supply base to mitigate risk to Tennant (deviation/engineering changes)Required Experience & Education:Bachelor's Degree in an engineering disciplineBachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Quality Engineering preferred3 years' minimum experience in supply and/or quality within an engineering or manufacturing environmentMS Office, SAP or related ERP experienceAbility to read / interpret engineering drawings, requirements and specificationsExperience working with one or more of the following commodities: Molded plastics, engines, hydraulics, castings, or metal fabricationResults oriented with a positive attitudeDemonstrated ability to collaborate and support other functional areas including finance, legal, R&D and OperationsStrong oral and written communication skills across many functions and levels of the organizationWillingness to be flexible and adjust to a changing work environmentAbility to build and maintain positive relationships, both internally and externally, while maintaining a client service orientationDemonstrated Emotional intelligence and ability to coach and be coachedCharacterized by integrity and high professional standardsRequired Interpersonal & Behavioral Skills:Ability to problem-solveAbility to concentrate on tasks, make decisions and work calmly and effectively in a high-pressure, deadline oriented environmentWillingness to be flexible with time and adjust to a changing work environmentAbility to build and maintain positive relationships, both internally and externally, while maintaining a client service orientationAbility to use sound judgment and discretion in dealing with highly confidential informationConsistent attendance either onsite or remotely as needed by the businessAbility to take direction and accept supervisionDemonstrated ability to work independently, organize and accurately prioritize work, be detail-oriented, understand when urgency is required and use good judgment in varied situationsTotal Compensation = Pay range + BenefitsBenefits = A comprehensive benefits package including multiple medical plan options, 401(k) with a 100% match up to 6%, paid vacation time, up to 8 paid company holidays and 3 personal holidays per year, dental and vision coverage, wellness rewards, robust family support programs, company?paid disability and life insurance, and a full Employee Assistance Program.Defining Our Employee Value Proposition At Tennant Company, we… Discover fulfilling work with opportunities for growth and meaningful recognition.
