Supervising Dentist - PT

Position Summary:

Supervises patient care services provided in the dental hygiene clinic .

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provide anesthesia to patients when indicated
• Administer nitrous oxide
• Manage emergency medical procedures when necessary
• Monitor safety practices and infection control standards in the dental clinic
• Authorize and document radiographs indicated for patient care
• Authorizes dental hygiene treatment plans based on review of medical/dental history
• Administer pharmaceutical medications when indicated for patient care
• Perform other clinical duties as directed by the Director of Dental Hygiene
• Performs other duties as assigned

Skills/Competencies /Qualifications :

• Professional experience necessar y to understand and fulfill program goals
• Current CPR certification/health care provider

• Excellent oral and written communications

• Five years of full-time dental practice experience

Classification: Exempt

Work Hours : May be part-time or full-time, vary daily and include evening/weekend hours.
