Assistant Teacher
Under the supervision of the classroom instructor, to serve as an assistant to teachers by aiding in the supervision and training of students and assisting in the preparation and assembling of teaching materials.
Requirements/Qualifications: CalPERS retirees cannot be in an on-call substitute pool. Violations could include repayment of your retirement benefits to PERS (reference CalPERS Publication 33 - Employment After Retirement). To comply with PERS, we are not able to have retirees as active substitutes. Substitutes applications will be reviewed in the order they are received and processed as needed. Verification of 48 semester units or higher: Copy of degree or transcripts with application documents. Or passing of the Para exam, administered by TUSD. If selected applicants will be required to provide TB clearance.
